I am cleaning up the aftermath of the "Bath-time Bribes" event. I pause to tuck Nugget into bed. "Max and Fiona just went zooming away on Fiona's Moped" he tells me.
I call to them. They zoom back...
Explanations:
"We didn't know it was too late." (I told them HOURS ago it was now curfew time and they nodded "ok")
"Dad said it was ok just to give Max rides" (Dad isn't even home...and he has told you many times "no rides to anyone ever." (Safety))
"Max said it was an emergency" (An emergency to go play at a friend's house at 9pm)
"We forgot"
"We couldn't find our helmets" (Which are sitting in plain sight in the garage).
