Poppy's 5th Birthday Party

· Parenting

Day before the party

Wimpy Mom is in line at the Dollar Store to buy party supplies.

School calls. Wimpy Mom forgot to pick up her kids (it’s early release day).

Day of the party (at the park)

Forty kids invited, three RSVP’d, one cancelled (sick).

Can’t find the forks and knives because Poppy dumped the party supplies bag somewhere. Or, to be honest, Wimpy Mom may have forgotten to get forks…

Grandma goes to get forks.

Wimpy Mom put off ordering the Princess cake and pizza till the night before so it isn’t ready till the middle of the party.

Husband goes to get the cake.

Looks like Poppy dumped out the candles somewhere (for real).

Husband goes to get candles.

No matches.

Husband goes to get matches.

Poppy reveals where she stashed the candles (now we have extra for next year!).

We bought WAY too much pizza.

Poppy crashes her new bike she just got at the party and is crying.

Park sprinklers come on and spray all over the food table.
