(To give you an idea of what happened last time we ventured into nature you need to read
“On being outdoorsy”
We decided to go out into Nature again.
The husband said it was a bad idea
I said we should “unplug. "It will be good for us all."
The highlights were:
Leaving the home:
Not hungry for dinner
Rebellion and dissidence over getting in the car and going somewhere
"I can hike JUST FINE in my wedges"
"I’m NOT taking off the Princess night gown!"
"WHY do I have to sit in the back by Poppy…she has germs from sucking her thumb!"
On the way there:
"Why does Max ALWAYS get the iPad?"
Nugget is crying cause he’s “starving”
In fact everyone is “starving”
"Why do we HAVE to go on this stupid hike anyway!"
Upon arrival:
$40 later we finally stop whining about being hungry.
Or not…Nugget is crying cause his pepperoni pizza “suddenly became a cheese pizza”
On the outing:
I repeatedly detach dangling kids from the ceiling shuttle grab poles
Nugget calls the gruff rugged bus driver a “Princess”
Fiona -steps off the shuttle: runs, trips and smashes her knee and shins into a park bench
(maybe the wedges?)
Max yells rude things to siblings and is stopped before he attempts to “wrangle a deer”
The ride back:
At the front of shuttle full of people a group of sweet children sing camp songs.
In stark contrast to…

Max yelling and swearing on the shuttle
The Husband getting a water bottle chucked at his head.
